Andrew Mason (clarinet) studied as a Foundation Scholar at the Royal College of Music, winning the Frederick Thurston Clarinet Prize and the Roger Fallows Memorial Prize. Andrew has performed and broadcast for the BBC Proms Composer Portrait series and has performed at the Purcell Room and at the Wigmore Hall for the Park Lane Group. With his wind quintet, The Aurora Ensemble, he has performed in Cardiff's St. David's Hall, the Purcell Room, the Wigmore Hall and the Bridgewater Hall. As an orchestral musician, Andrew has played for the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, English Sinfonia and the Northern Sinfonia.

Sara Trickey (violin) brings her "beautifully refined tone" (Musical Opinion) and her "fiery and passionate" performance style (The Strad) to her award-winning career as both solo violinist and chamber musician. She studied at the Royal College of Music, at Cambridge University, and as a Scholar at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. With the City of London Sinfonia, the Orchestra of St Johns and the Ten Tors Chamber Orchestra she has performed concertos by Britten, Bach, Sibelius, Mendelssohn, Goldmark, Brahms, Beethoven, Vaughan Williams' and Piazzolla. She has given recitals at the Purcell Room, Royal Opera House, St Davids Hall and live on Radio 3 and was the featured violinist at the Presteigne Festival, 2007. Sara was leader of the Bronte string quartet from 2001 to 2006. |

Katharine Gorsuch Johns (violin) was also a member of the prize-winning Bronte String Quartet from 2001 to 2006 and now works as a freelance violinist. Having studied with Itzhak Rashkovsky and Miriam Fried, her playing career has taken her to venues such as Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, and St David's Hall. She has also performed at IMS Prussia Cove and on BBC Radio 3. Her recent work includes performances with Independent Opera at Sadler's Wells. |

Emmanuella Reiter (viola). After lessons in violin at the Conservatoire National de Région de Nice, France, and the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, USA, Emmanuella discovered her passion for the viola, studying with Kim Kashkashian at the New England Conservatory in Boston. She has participated in many festivals, and has performed with artists such as Peter Frankl, Michel Strauss, Philippe Berrod and Vladimir Mendelssohn. She has performed as a concerto soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe and the USA and has recorded for record labels in the USA and Germany. In 2005, Emmanuella recorded the duet for violin and viola by Zigmund Schul in the Dvorák Hall, Prague, as part of the Terezin Music Anthology. Emmanuella is a member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. |

Rebecca Knight (cello) studied with cellist Louise Hopkins at the Guildhall School. During her time at Guildhall she performed with the Guildhall New Music Ensemble at the Wigmore Hall and toured with the European Academies Symphony Orchestra. She has appeared as concerto soloist with the Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra, West Sussex County Youth Orchestra and the Guildhall New Music Ensemble. As a chamber musician she has performed in the Manchester Quartetfest 2004, Prussia Cove masterclasses, the IMAI festival in Maine, USA, the Paxos International Festival and given the European premiere of works by Chen Yi in the BBC Proms. With the Lawson Piano Trio she will be performing Beethoven Triple Concerto and appearing in Belfast Queens University Celebrity Series in the spring of 2009.
